Welcome to our website! May 2026 brings the bright energy of spring into full bloom—a season of renewal, growth, and fresh beginnings. It’s a great time to embrace progress, celebrate new opportunities, and enjoy the beauty all around. Whether you’re enjoying outdoor plans, setting new goals, or sharing special moments with the people you care about most, May offers a renewed sense of hope and connection as the days get warmer.

May Events: May Days, Milestones, and Good Neighbor Moments

In May, consider this theme that covers: 1) big life moments: prom, graduation, first apartment, summer driving, 2) seasonal protection: bikes, boats, homes, moving, storms, and 3) community care: teachers, moms, small businesses, first responders, veterans. Here are some community event ideas that align well:

  • National Small Business Week Event: National Small Business Week is May 3-9. Consider featuring a few local businesses at your office or in a shared community space to host a mini-vendor market or consider hosting a short networking hour for business owners. You could set up a table for your office as well. This supports the local community and opens the door to small business conversations. Consider a swag bag of small, branded giveaway items for businesses who participate.

  • Prom Prep Pop-up Event: Consider hosting a quick pre-prom event focused on safe driving, photo ops, and parent involvement. This could include a distracted driving phone pledge, Prom Night safety checklist, photo backdrop for couples/friends, corsage or boutonniere photo station with a local florist partner. Or consider hosting a prom dress drive at your office. Also consider some quick tips for parents, such as curfews, ride plans, and emergency contacts. Some giveaways to consider include: Mini Tire Gauge Key Chain, Drive Safe Silicone Thumb Band, Car Sun Shade, or even a Roadside Emergency Kit. Consider providing a branded picture frame if doing photos.

  • Mother’s Day Event: Mother’s Day is May 10. Consider a community appreciation event centered around moms, caregivers, and families. Consider a mini-flower pot planting station, a family photo booth, or car seat safety event. For swag, consider an emergency contact magnet, Say It With Seeds Envelope, Recycled Cotton Twill Grocery Tote, or Recycled Cotton Tote - Having Insurance, or even some fun puzzle books.

  • Graduation “Next Step” Workshop or “College Bound” Event: Graduation season is a transition season, and transition is where insurance can show up. Here is a simple event for grads and parents: “What to know before college, your first apartment, or your first job.” Topics include renters’ insurance, car insurance changes, moving checklist, budgeting for “real life” expenses using the leveraging the Financial Foundation discussion guide and worksheet. Partners could include local libraries, coffee shops, apartment complexes, and high schools or community centers. Some giveaways include Piggy Bank, Power Bank, Multi-Tool Set, Square Level Tape Measure Key Tag, or Tire Gauge with Clip.

  • Moving Month/First Apartment Event: Consider hosting a “moving season survival” workshop that could include a first apartment checklist, room inventory tips, renters’ insurance coverage, packing/moving tips. Many of these tips can be found in Simple Insights. For giveaways, consider: Multi-Tool Set, Square Level Tape Measure Key Tag, Magnetic Power Clip, Magnetic Memo Board, or Kitchen Measurement House Magnet.

  • Safe Boating/Summer “Toys” Event: Tie in National Safe Boating Week (May 16-22) and help your community focus on getting ready for summer fun by hosting a boat safety event. Consider collaborating with a marina, boat/outdoor store, or powersports shop to talk boat safety. For branded giveaways, consider some of our gift aways. (koozies, lip balm/sunscreen combo, waterproof pouch, first aid kit, sunglasses, Inflatable Beach Ball - 24 in. or open boat tote bag, depending on stock.).

  • National Pet Day Month/Rescue Day Event. Celebrate National Pet Month and National Rescue Dog Day (May 20). Consider collaborating with a local animal shelter, pet store, pet groomer, or pet-friendly apartment complex for a pet-safety event, pet supply drive, or fun pet photo booth. Use this time to talk to those stopping by about pet medical insurance. For swag, consider a light-up dog bone keychain, Pet Leash, Pet Waste Bag Dispenser, or bandana.

May is also a wonderful time to strengthen relationships, get outside, and stay focused on moving your plans forward. The season encourages us to refresh our outlook, spread kindness, and prioritize what truly matters. From springtime gatherings to soaking up the colors of the season, May creates meaningful moments to support both your heart and your ambitions.

This month is perfect for getting involved in spring activities—gardening, hiking, picnics, or simply relaxing in the sunshine. With new life all around, May inspires reflection, gratitude, and positive change as you look ahead to what’s next.
